– Barracks Roster Profile
Lucina is one of the main characters in Fire Emblem: Awakening and is one of two Lords you will use. Under the identity of "Marth" she makes her first appearance in Chapter 1: Unwelcome Change after rescuing Lissa from a Risen attack. Although she disappears after leaving Chrom with a warning, she appears again in Chapter 4: Two Falchions as an enemy unit and appears again occasionally until Chapter 13: Of Sacred Blood where she reveals her true identity as Chrom's daughter from the future. In addition to being Chrom's daughter she can also be the daughter of Sumia, Maribelle, Sully, Olivia, or a female Robin. She can also be the sister of Cynthia, Brady, Kjelle, Inigo, a male Morgan or she can be an only child. She can also be the mother of a female Morgan if she marries a male Robin.
The way Lucina acts is that of a kind and caring person who is devoted to protecting her people. Even though she is of royal birth she does not think herself better than anyone else and instead will help out in any way she is able, often putting the needs of others before her own, even when she's the one who needs help. Lucina has a strong sense of justice and thinks it is her duty to save the world. Because of this she is determined to prevent her dark future from happening by any means necessary so that no one else would have to experience it. She dislikes the idea of death among her allies, likely a result of having grown up around so much death and despair in her time, and will try to prevent it in any way possible, even if the death is a noble one. Despite her serious and mature appearance, Lucina also has a childlike and mischievous side, especially when it comes to her parents, which likely stems from a desire to live a normal life.
Behind the voice.
In the English version of the game Lucina is voiced by Laura Bailey. I've heard her in some other roles she has done, one of them being the voice of another favorite character of mine––Tohru Honda of Fruits Basket––which I think is awesome, just because I love her. Other notable roles she has done include Jaina Proudmoore in World of Warcraft, Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist, Serah Farron in Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Kid Trunks in Dragon Ball Z. I love Laura Bailey for Lucina and can't imagine anyone else voicing her (which may or may not have anything to do with the fact that I have a slight bias towards her, eheh).
In the Japanese version Lucina is voiced by Yū Kobayashi. Some notable roles she has done include Kanon in Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Kirino Ranmaru in Inazuma Eleven Go, and Nina Williams in Street Fighter X Tekken. Thanks to the voice language options in the extras menu you can swap between the English and Japanese voices so I've been able to hear her as Lucina. Usually I'm iffy about hearing character voices in both English and Japanese and sometimes prefer one or the other, but in this case I think she is absolutely adorable and I love her voice. As such I love both voices for Lucina and feel that both are wonderful for her.
